Greetings from Garden Grove, California! Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (PJLA) is thrilled to be part of the 2024 Environmental Measurement Symposium, taking place from August 5-9. This year’s theme, “Reliable Data for Sound Decision Making,” resonates deeply with our mission of ensuring accuracy, integrity, and quality in laboratory data worldwide.
Tracy Szerszen and Matt Sica are representing PJLA at this significant event. With over 140 presentations and posters organized into technical sessions, the symposium is a melting pot of innovative ideas and cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration and advancement in the field of environmental measurements.
One of the highlights of our participation was Matt Sica’s insightful presentation titled “Leveraging Technology to Improve Laboratory Quality.” Matt’s expertise and passion for integrating technology with laboratory practices shone through as he discussed innovative solutions to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in laboratory operations.
Beyond the presentations, the symposium has provided us with ample opportunities to network with industry leaders, researchers, and fellow accreditation bodies. Tracy Szerszen has been engaging in meaningful discussions, exploring potential collaborations, and sharing PJLA’s vision of fostering a global culture of quality in laboratory practices.
As we navigate through EMS 2024, we are inspired by the collective effort to advance environmental measurements. The exchange of ideas and knowledge here is a testament to the dedication of professionals striving for excellence in their respective fields. At PJLA, we are committed to supporting laboratories in their pursuit of high-quality, reliable data.
